Messmer Celebrates Founders Day

A Founders Day Ceremony is celebrating 90 years of Messmer Catholic Schools in Milwaukee.
Mayor Tom Barrett, County Executive Chris Abele and other community leaders were on hand this morning to dedicate the new school year.
They were joined by 150 high school seniors to plant trees at the original site of the school back in 1926 and at each of Messer's 3 campuses today.
Messmer Catholic Schools serve nearly 1700 children in grades K4 through first grade.
