MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Brewers partnered with Meijer to spread some Holiday cheer to some USO children this holiday season.
The kids were invited to the Waukesha store for shopping. They also had dinner with the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages. It was part of the third annual “Shop with a Brewer” holiday event.
Brewer’s first Baseman Eric Thames says he was glad to be a part of it.
"I feel like everyone to do their part to give back and help the kids and help especially the people that are fighting for our freedom and everything out there so to be able to have the chance to come out here and say hi and help them and watch the kids be happy shopping for toys and it's the holiday season so it's awesome to be able to be part of that, for me it's a no-brainer,” said Thames.
The children also got a 100 dollar Meijer gift card to spend on anything they wanted.
They’ll also get a 20 dollar gift card to buy a toy for a child at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
