Medical Examiner's Office Is Investigating A Possible Hypothermia Death

MILWAUKEE - The Medical Examiner's Office is currently investigating a possible hypothermia death that happened on January 5th.

The 48-year-old female was found dead inside of a home located in the 2800 block of N. 23rd Street.

According to the Medical Examiner's Office, initial reports indicate electricity was shut off for non-payment.

We Energies released a statement saying, "We do not disconnect customers during the moratorium which is from November 1st to April 15th. Now, if a customer is disconnected before November 1st, we make every effort to contact that customer to reconnect and even if that fails – if a customer contacts us we would connect during a moratorium. We want to make every effort to make contact and get their power reconnected.“

This is a developing story. Stay with CBS 58 News and cbs58.com for more information.
