Medical Examiner Identifies Pedestrian Fatally Struck While Crossing the Street

UPDATE: The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner identified the man who was fatally struck while crossing the street as Alan Michael Jeffrey.
ORIGINAL: A man crossing the street on Milwaukee’s north side was struck and killed by a motor vehicle late last night.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the accident occurred near 77th and Congress around 11 PM.
The man attempted to cross the street in the middle of the block and the driver of the approaching vehicle did not see him.
After the collision the driver stopped and called 911.
He remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police as they investigate the accident.
