MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police have confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed Wednesday, Aug. 27 after a crash near 115th and Appleton.

The crash happened at around 8:35 p.m. when a 34-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle while traveling at a high rate of speed.

According to police, the motorcycle slid a significant distance before coming to rest off the roadway. The rider sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed it was called to the scene of a deadly crash near Appleton and Kaul around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.

At least one person died in the crash, according to the medical examiner. Officials have not released information on the cause of the crash, whether additional vehicles were involved or the identity of the person who died.
