MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 37-year-old man is dead following a shooting near N. 65th Street and West Congress Tuesday evening.
Police say they were called to the area around 8:45 p.m. According to authorities, the victim of the shooting broke into a house and stole items. A person that lived at the home returned while the victim was there and the shooting occurred.
Life-saving efforts were conducted at the scene, but the victim did not survive.
The suspect left the scene before police arrived. MPD is continuing to investigate and looking for a known suspect.

Milwaukee Police are investigating. They have not released details surrounding the shooting or potential victims.
