MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim in a fatal shooting near 41st and Lancaster as Dion J. Armstrong.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon near 41st Street and West Lancaster Avenue.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 48-year-old man was shot around 3:15 p.m. while driving. Police said the vehicle then went out of control and struck multiple unoccupied parked vehicles.

The driver died at the scene from a gunshot wound.

A 44-year-old passenger was not struck by gunfire but was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument. The circumstances remain under investigation, and police are searching for the suspect or suspects.
