MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Little by little, more of Milwaukee's favorite places are coming back to life. Friday, June 12, the MECCA Sports Bar & Grill in the Deer District reopened their doors.
The bar is open with the now-familiar list of restrictions: 25-percent capacity, masks for employees, new wipeable menus, and tables removed for social distancing.
Here's something interesting; a lot of places have scaled back their menus as they reopen, but the MECCA has added items, like a southwest salad, new nachos, a blackened mahi-mahi sandwich and several new cocktails.
"This isn't a race. There isn't a winner here. We want to be sure that we're being safe, that we're being healthy. And that everybody that we welcome in here feels that same way. But you can't help but be excited," said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures.
The MECCA Sports Bar & Grill will offer curbside pickup if you don't want to dine-in. It will be open every day but Mondays.
