'Mean Girls' to take the stage at Greendale Community Theater

GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Greendale Community Theatre brings the "Mean Girls" musical to the stage with performances starting July 23.

Director Ami Majeskie and actress Alivia Harper, who plays Cady Herron, joined us on Wednesday, July 22 to share some details about the show.

It runs July 23-25 and July 30-Aug. 1, with Thursday and Friday performances at 7 p.m. and Saturday performances at 4 p.m. at the Henry Ross Auditorium at Greendale High School. General admission tickets are $18, with student and senior tickets at $15, available online or at the box office one hour before curtain.

Based on the 2004 teen film, "Mean Girls" follows a teenager who has grown up in Africa as she navigates American high school for the first time and encounters a powerful social clique known as "The Plastics."
