MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A pregnant woman was found dead in Milwaukee's Harambee neighborhood. Authorities say she was wrapped in a blanket.
Thirty-four-year-old Amanda Kiepert was pregnant. Police say her body was found a lot wrapped in a blanket near Burleigh and Palmer on Monday, May 23. The lot was a dumping ground for piles of furniture, broken glass, and garbage.
Her mother, Colleen Fleischman, wants to know how she got there.
CBS 58's Winnie Dortch: "Are you believing that someone did that? Wrapped her in a blanket?"
Fleischman: "Yes, definitely."
Fleischman says her daughter struggled with drug addiction. She says she tried to get her help but it was too late.
"I was trying to get information to get her help and I did not succeed," said Fleischman.
Fleischman hopes someone comes forward with information about her death.
"I think they are heartless, they could have at least put her on the sidewalk and called 911, and maybe should still be with us and her unborn daughter," said Fleischman.
In the meantime, Fleischman urges people to help those who are fighting battles everyday.
