MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Transit System aims to attract new employees at a virtual job fair on Tuesday, March 22.
The roles open include bus operators, mechanics and maintenance crews.
Jaime Sandoval Jr. is a 17-year veteran of MCTS. The bus operator started in 2004.
He says what has kept him in his position for so long is the salary, benefits and job security, but also the rewarding experience of interacting with the community.
"I see it all and it's beautiful," Sandoval told CBS 58. "It's beautiful because I am out there driving and it opens up my eyes to a whole different world, and then in return some of that world walks into my bus and I am glad to be there to help them out in any way that I can."
MCTS is offering sign-on bonuses for new hires of $1,000 for bus operators and $2,000 for mechanics.
More info on the virtual job fair can be found here.
