MCSO responds to numerous crashes due to snow on New Year's Day

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to numerous calls for service due to road conditions on New Year's Day, Jan. 1.

According to MCSO, officials responded to 23 property damage crashes, two personal injury crashes, and 27 disabled cars. It makes for a total of 52 calls. 

MCSO said it happened between 2 p.m. and midnight on Friday.

The county was under a winter weather advisory until midnight. 

Officials encourage drivers to reduce speed, match road conditions, and always wear your seatbelt.
