WisDOT: I-41 SB/US 45 reopen following closure linked to police pursuit

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police were involved in a pursuit that resulted in a full freeway closure on southbound I-41 at Bluemound Road in the Zoo Interchange Friday night, Oct. 17.
Police say the vehicle pursuit began at 9:08 p.m. on the 10200 block of Fond du Lac Ave. Officers observed a reckless vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Police say the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.
The pursuit ended after a successful deployment of stop sticks. Officials say the occupants of the vehicle refused to exit the vehicle, however, a 30-year-old Milwaukee man and a 27-year-old passenger were arrested.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office initiated a full freeway closure on southbound I-41 at Bluemound Road in the Zoo Interchange Friday night, Oct. 17.
Authorities say the action was taken just before 9:30 p.m. to support Milwaukee police as they pursue a reckless driver whose vehicle is stopped at that location.
TRAFFIC ALERT: At 9:27 PM, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office initiated a full freeway closure on southbound I-45 at Bluemound Rd, in the Zoo Interchange. The action was taken to support @MilwaukeePolice’s pursuit of a reckless driver whose vehicle is stopped at that location.
