MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has a new class after a graduation ceremony Thursday night, Nov. 6.

We spoke to one of the recruits.

"I've always had a thing for taking care of people and just letting them know that there are others in the world that are looking out for them and want the best for them," Deputy Evan Bendel said.

The sheriff's office says they have more recruits graduating than officers leaving the department.

This was the largest deputy sheriff graduating class in two years.
