Death of 3-month-old near 36th and Sheridan investigated as homicide; man in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee officials are investigating the death of a 3-month-old child near 36th and Sheridan as a homicide.

Police were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12.

The baby boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition from injuries suffered during abuse, police said.

The baby succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, June 14.

Police say a 22-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested in connection to this incident.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
