MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- McBob's Pub & Grill in Milwaukee handed out free dinners to veterans for the fifth year Thursday, Nov. 26.
At 11 a.m., veterans were able to either pick up their order curbside by the restaurant or dine in.
The owner of McBob's said they have served over 220 meals to veterans.
"This would be a place where they would kind of let everything go, they'd be within their own community, they'd talk to each other, open up, and it's difficult for veterans to open up with civilians or anybody else," said owner Steve Schmich.
McBob's is also handing out free meals to the general public who are in need this Thanksgiving.
Schmich says this is the first time they have given free meals to the public.
