Matthews will gets pins removed next Monday

GREEN BAY - The return of star linebacker Clay Matthews may not be far off.

Matthews says he'll be getting the pins removed from his hand next Monday, the same day the Packers face the Bears on Monday Night Football. Matthews broke his thumb a few weeks ago.

The linebacker says he's hoping to play as soon as the Packers' home game on November 10th against the Eagles, but also admits the recovery may take a few more weeks.

The Packers are now 5-2 after beating the Minnesota VIkings 44-31 at the Metrodome Sunday night.
