Massive blaze in Madison

MADISON-An apartment building construction site became an inferno Friday night.

There are no reported injuries.

Witnesses say huge chunks of ash and wood flew onto Interstate 39/90 at the Cottage Grove exit.

Flames reportedly jumped the road and ignited a brush fire.

A local meteorologist says the smoke was so thick that it showed up on weather radar.

There's no word on a cause.
