MADISON (CBS 58) -- The final high school football game of the season featured two teams from southeast Wisconsin, Franklin and Marquette, in the Division 1 State Title game.
The Sabers seeked their second title in the last three seasons and the Hilltoppers their first in over a decade.
A combination of Marquette's defense and sophomore running back Tommy Novotny led the Hilltoppers to a 27-10 win. That was Franklin's lowest point total of the season. Novotny had 207 total yards including 163 on the ground and two touchdowns.
This was Marquette's second ever state title after winning a division 1 title in 2009.
