Mariota wins Heisman, Gordon second

NEW YORK--Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota won the 2014 Heisman Trophy Saturday night in New York, beating out Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon and Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Gordon finished in second, receiving 1,250 points--less than half of Mariota's total of 2,534.
Mariota becomes the first Oregon player to win the Heisman.
