We may already be a few days into the month of April but let's take a quick look back at the crazy March we had. We basically saw snow chances every single week with multiple rounds of heavy wet snow rolling through. Overall the month ended with 23.1" of snow which is well above the monthly average. Last year Milwaukee only had 4.1" of snow and it goes down as the 8th snowiest March on record.
When it came to total precipitation March ended with over 4" which is the 15th wettest March on record.
Temperatures during March were a little all over the place. The warmest high happened on the last day of the month when we hit 61* on March 31st. The coldest low was 13* in the middle of the month. Overall it ended just slightly below-average.
Now during the month of April the average high reaches 60* by the end of the month with an average low warming into the low 40s. The month averages nearly 4" of total precipitation and 2.1" of snow which usually happen during the beginning of the month. The average last measurable snow happens April 11.
