March Coming in Like A Lion

After being spoiled this past weekend with 60 degree temperatures, get ready for a late winter storm Monday night and Tuesday.  In fact a Winter Storm Warning is in place from 9 pm Monday until 9 am Tuesday along and south of I-94.  This general area could get a whopping 4-6"+ of snow with lesser amounts north of I-94.

Low pressure will develop across the Plains and move just south of us tomorrow.  With cold air in place, snow will fall starting around 8 or 9 Monday evening and last into the afternoon.  It should start to taper off by late in the day.  There could even be some Lake effect snow mixed in as well.  The wind from the northeast will be a factor, gusting more than 20 mph at times.  This will cause blowing and drifting issue, reducing visibility on the roads.

There's another chance of light snow by Thursday.  Then we focus on a big warmup next week.  Please download the free CBS58 weather app, in the meantime, to keep track of this storm.  The CBS58 weather team will be on top of this as well.
