Marathon County woman celebrates 101st birthday
WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) -- A Marathon County woman is turning 101 years old, and she doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.
While Mary Sullivan turns more than a century old Saturday, on Friday, dozens of residents at Renaissance Assisted Living in Weston came together and threw her a big party for a big milestone.
During the celebration, Sullivan shared one of her secrets to living a long, healthy life.
"Ever since I was a baby I've been able to have a balanced diet," Sullivan explained. I eat in moderation too, so that helps. I've had a good, happy life, I'll say that. I've been fortunate, yes."
Sullivan also credits staying active and says she tries to keep moving.
Sullivan's family includes a son and daughter, along with two grandchildren.
