Man Wanted in Connection with MATC Basketball Player's Death Captured

MILWAUKEE - Homicide suspect Amontre Ross was taken into custody earlier this evening without incident on Milwaukee's North Side.

Ross was wanted in connection with the January 25th homicide of Dandre Morehouse in the 8000 block of W. Beechwood Avenue.

Dandre Morehouse was a point guard for MATC’s basketball team, and he was killed just hours before the opening tip. 

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.

The Milwaukee Police would like to thank everyone who shared the' picture of Ross.
