Man Tries to Rob Walgreens with Box Cutter; Employee Responds "So?"

MADISON, Wis (Channel 3000) A man trying to rob a Walgreens in Madison walked away empty-handed after threatening an employee with a box cutter, according to a release from Madison police.

Police said the robber walked into the Walgreens at 3710 E. Washington Ave at 3:50 a.m. Friday and demanded that an employee give him all the money from the till. When the employee refused, the man, who had his hands in his pockets, said he had a box cutter. The employee replied, “So?,” according to the report.

The employee called police while the man fled.

The would-be robber is described as white, in his 20s to early 30s, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds and skinny. He was wearing a dark waist-length coat and a white scarf tied around his face.
