Man shot during early morning confrontation

The Milwaukee Police are investigating a confrontation and shooting that occurred around 1:50 AM Friday in the area of S 19th Street and W Lincoln Avenue.  According to the Police, two brothers, described as in their early 20s, heard noise outside of their home.  They went to investigate and were confronted by four to six unidentified males who were attempting to break into a neighboring house.   A fight ensued and during the fight, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot one of the bothers twice in the leg.  The other brother was struck on the head with an unknown object.  The suspects then fled the scene.  The gunshot victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.  Both men are expected to recover from their injuries.  The Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
