MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee man who fatally shot three of his neighbors learns his fate.
Dan Popp will spend life in prison for killing his three neighbors back in March of 2016 at an apartment building near 92nd and Beloit.
A jury found Popp was mentally ill when he shot husband and wife Phia and Mai Vue and Jesus Manso-Perez.
Eight people spoke including the children of the victims who had a message for Popp.
“Dan, I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to my parents like you were with your mom and sister. I don’t get to call and ask them how they’re doing. You however, still get that chance. I don’t get to hug my parents anymore,” said Alexander Vue, the son of Mai and Phia Vue.
“Your honor, all we ask of you today is to give us a chance in life to live life, work hard, and make our parents proud.Just like if they were still with us,” said Isabel Vue, daughter of Mai and Phia Vue.
