Man sentenced to 5 years in prison for stabbing in West Allis

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jose J. Gaeta-Huerta of Clinton was sentenced to 5 years in prison after a stabbing that took place in March of 2022, according to court documents.
Officers responded to a home near 70th and Becher and located a 41-year-old West Allis man with apparent stab wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers searched the area, but the suspect had fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Later, Gaeta-Huerta was arrested.
