BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) – The driver killed in a crash after fleeing police earlier this week in Brookfield has been identified as 24-year-old Stephan Ramsey from Milwaukee.

Deputies say he took off after they smelled marijuana during a traffic stop on Bluemound. He hit a utility pole a short time later.

Court records show Ramsey had drug, robbery, and firearms charges dating back to 2010.
