Man issued citation after crashing into hay trailer in Dane County
DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man was issued a citation for inattentive driving after crashing his vehicle into a hay trailer in the Town of Roxbury.
It happened just after 6 p.m. on Monday in the area of USH 12 near Herbrand Road.
Initial investigation revealed that a tractor pulling a hay trailer was in the left lane, slowing to make a left turn in the crossover.
The driver of a 2015 Nissan Sentra didn't see the tractor directly ahead of him and collided with the attached hay trailer.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was identified as a 40-year-old man from Waunakee. He will be issued a citation.
The tractor operator, a 47-year-old man from Prairie du Sac, was not injured.
