Man in Riverwest Neighborhood Fights Back Against Teenagers Attempting to Rob Him

Two suspects were arrested after an attempted armed robbery of a male and female victim walking in a Riverwest Neighborhood around 7:40 PM on Tuesday.

A male and female victim were standing outside a business in the 2700 block of N. Weil Street around 7:40 p.m. on February 23 when they were approached by three male suspects.

One of the suspects was armed with a gun and demanded belongings from both victims.

The victims refused to give the suspects their belongings and the male victim began to fight with one of the suspects before the suspects fled from the scene on foot.

An eyewitness flagged down a responding MPD squad and pointed in the direction of where the suspects fled. Officers took two of the three suspects into custody in the 2700 block of N. Fratney Street and are still searching for the third suspect.

The arrested suspects include a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Milwaukee.
