Man falls asleep and ends up in creek

A sleepy driver found himself up a creek so to speak Tuesday evening. The Milwaukee Police report that around 6:50 PM, a driver who apparently fell asleep at the wheel, drove off W Courtland Avenue at N 31st Street and ended up in Lincoln Creek.
Just the front wheels of the vehicle ended up in the water. According to the MPD, the driver was not injured but was taken to Froedtert hospital. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the accident.
The driver, a 25-year-old Germantown man, was arrested for possession of narcotics and operating while intoxicated. The MPD will present this case to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
