Man dead following shooting in Racine, investigation ongoing
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fatal shooting in Racine has left a 45-year-old man dead and led to the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect. The shooting was reported Thursday, Oct. 12, near the intersection of Russet and Victory at approximately 6:29 p.m.
Law enforcement officers reportedly discovered the victim and attempted life-saving measures until Racine Fire Department rescue personnel arrived. The victim later died at a local hospital due to his injuries.
The suspect, said by police to be known to the victim, was arrested, but the investigation is ongoing.
