Early voting begins in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A man is charged in connection to a fatal shooting near 28th and Auer on June 30.
According to a criminal complaint, Cedric Turnbull Jr. is facing charges of first degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm.
Court documents state they were called to a home on June 30 and found a man with a gunshot wound to the neck. Lifesaving measures were performed, but the victim died at the scene.
Authorities say a woman was inside the home at the time the victim was shot. She said the victim and other people were arguing over the eviction of the tenants. The woman called Turnbull and asked him to come over and help with the situation.
When Turnbull got there, the victim asked who he was and that’s when Turnbull shot him.
Turnbull, 19, faces 70 years in prison.
