Man charged in crash that killed sister near Leon's Frozen Custard bound over for trial

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 35-year-old man charged in a crash that killed his 22-year-old sister was bound over for trial.

The crash happened Dec. 12, at the intersection of 27th and Oklahoma -- near Leon's Frozen Custard.

As seen on video, a Chevy Equinox was speeding south on 27th Street and ran through a red light. The Equinox hit a Chevy Cruz, which was heading east on Oklahoma Avenue.

The impact of the crash flipped the Equinox several times down 27th Street.

The car would eventually come to a stop after hitting a light pole in front of Leon's Frozen Custard.

Police said the Equinox had two people inside; the passenger, 22-year-old Sierra Hill, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver -- identified as Jered Corn and the brother of Hill -- was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of injuries from the crash.

In court on Monday, Jan. 8, probable cause was found to bound Corn over for trial.

His next court appearance is set for Feb. 6.
