MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A man is now charged with the deadly beating of a 14-year-old girl.
Jada Wright was found dead at a home near the Northridge Lakes area. After an autopsy found severe blunt force injuries, 18-year-old Christopher Ward was charged with second-degree reckless homicide.
According to a criminal complaint, Jada had cerebral palsy. Ward and his mother were in charge of caring for her.
Police arrested Ward when they learned he was the last person with her when she was injured.
Detectives interviewed Ward twice and in the subsequent interview, he admitted to becoming frustrated with Jada and punching her in the abdomen.
