Man attending Packers-Vikings watch party in Elm Grove falls into fire pit, dies

ELM GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man called 911 in Elm Grove and said his friend fell in a fire pit and died. 

Police say a family living near Watertown Plank Road and Highland, was having a gathering to watch the Packers vs. Vikings game on Monday, Dec. 23. 

CBS 58 is told they had a fire going outside, and at one point several people went into the house.

Investigators say a man in his 60s, visiting from northern Wisconsin, had a medical event and fell into the fire pit. 

The man was dead when officers arrived. 

The medical examiner is working to find out what kind of medical problem the man suffered.
