Man arrested in Washington County on several drug charges following chase

WASHINGTON COUNTY (CBS 58) – A man was arrested Sunday evening in Washington County on several drug charges.

According to the sheriff’s department, a deputy ran a license plate of a vehicle at a truck stop around 10:02 p.m. It was then determined the registered owner of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant.

When the deputy walked up to the vehicle, two people got out of the car. One man, a 33-year-old from Milwaukee, tossed items under the car and then ran from the scene.

The deputy ran after the man, and the suspect reached into his waistband. Then, the deputy used a Taser on the man. The deputy used the Taser two more times.

Eventually, the suspect was taken into custody.

The suspect was arrested on charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping.
