The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving a wrong-way driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 43 near the Marquette interchange around 2:18 a.m. Friday, according to a news release.

Police say the suspect, a 32-year-old Milwaukee resident, hit an SUV and a Hyundai that was in use as a ride-share vehicle.

No occupants of the SUV reported injuries.

Both the driver and passenger of the ride-share vehicle were taken to a medical facility with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the suspect vehicle admitted to consuming alcohol and also received non life-threatening injuries.
