RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – A man is arrested on drug charges after police say they found drugs and money while searching an apartment in Franksville.
According to a release by the Caledonia Police Department, officers responded to an apartment in the 3500 block of Highway H for a loud noise complaint. When they arrived, they found a man from the Manitowoc area who had substantial face and head wounds. He was taken to a local hospital and refused to say who beat him up or pursue charges.
During the investigation, officers say they say illegal drugs and paraphernalia in plain view in the apartment. After getting permission to search the apartment, they say they found a little over two pounds of marijuana, other drugs and paraphernalia, a gun, and $2,700 in an unlocked safe.
A 28-year-old man who lived at the apartment was arrested on felony drug charges while armed. The case is being forwarded to the Racine County District Attorney’s Office for review.
