Man and woman killed in stabbing near 20th and Lapham

Milwaukee Police are investigating a stabbing that left two people dead on the city's south side.

Officials were called to 20th and Lapham just before 7 p.m. Thursday night, where they found  a 26-year-old female and a 47-year-old male dead.

Two children, ages 8 and 9, were transported to the hospital for what police call superficial injuries. 

Officials believe the incident started as a family dispute and that everyone involved is related. Neighbors say crime in this area is not a surprise.

\"It usually happens like 24/7, it always happens it's full of crime in this neighborhood,\" Celia Moreno, who lives in the area, said.

A 22-year-old is in custody and police say there is no present danger to the community.
