Major Changes Along I-894 South Start Tomorrow Morning

As part of the Zoo Interchange Construction Project, a major traffic switch with ramp closures will take place tomorrow. This will have an impact on drivers who travel between the Zoo and Hale Interchanges.

The I-41/894 SB exit ramp to Greenfield Ave. will fully close through the summer of 2018 for reconstruction.  The on ramp from Greenfield Ave. to I-41/894 SB will close through the fall of 2017.  Also closing long term, the Lincoln Ave. exit ramp from I-894 SB is expected to remain that way through summer of 2018.

Traffic along the I-894 southbound corridor will shift to the west or right side of the roadway starting at Lincoln Ave.

Drivers should use Hwy 100 to get around these ramp closures or if they need to access routes to the west of these closures. Drivers wanting to continue along I-894 south can also use the national Ave. ramp.

You will need to plan for extra time and slow drive times along these routes during both the morning and evening commutes.
