Madison Teenager Robbed at Gunpoint Meeting a Facebook Friend

MADISON, Wis. - A Madison teenager was robbed at gunpoint while waiting in a convenience store parking lot to meet a man whom she knew only from Facebook, police said.

The girl and a friend drove to a convenience store in the 6200 block of Schroeder Road at 1:15 a.m. Saturday for a prearranged meeting.

Police said that when the women parked, two men got into the back seat of their car, pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and robbed her of cash and a cellphone.

The teenager told police that she had agreed to meet the man because he said he needed a ride somewhere.
