Loved ones prepare for fallen trooper's funeral

The state of Wisconsin, including family and friends of state trooper Trevor Casper prepare to say their final farewell.

Funeral arrangements are now set for Wisconsin state trooper Trevor Casper.

Casper's funeral will be held on Sunday march 29th at Kiel high school.

The 21-year-old grew up in the small town of Kiel which is more than 60 miles north of Milwaukee.

Police say a bank robbery suspect shot and killed Casper Tuesday afternoon in Fond du Lac.

The suspect also died during the exchange of gunfire.

Commanding officers with the state patrol reflect on the fallen trooper.

\"I know when we met several times, I'd always ask if he was having fun, and his response was sure I am”, Captain Anthony Burrell. “With a smile on his face, he was very eager and pleased to be doing the job he was doing in such a short time.\"

\"He will be missed greatly by all of us who have worked with him, and by all of the Wisconsin State Patrol, statewide”, said Captain Anthony Burrell.

In wake the tragedy, the state of Wisconsin has shown their support.

A Facebook page has been set up in Casper's honor.

The Facebook page is called lights on for trooper Trevor Casper Wisconsin state patrol.

Local stores like Menards on miller parkway in west Milwaukee tells CBS 58 they have been seeing high sales for blue lights.

Governor Walker has also ordered flags to be at half staff statewide.
