MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Thursday, Aug. 25, a community is grieving the loss of 17-year-old Natalie Johnson.

Johnson died after a UTV crash Sunday Aug. 21, 2022. She was the passenger.

Those close to Johnson said her death feels like a bad dream.

"It's still not real, like, I don’t think it's like set in, like we are still waiting for that text, that call, like hey," said Emily Cross, friend of Johnson.

Cross talked about moments she shared with Johnson, someone she called friend.

"We made Kool-Aid pickles that was, they were so good, like you can't judge it until you try it," said Cross.

Johnson and Cross both worked at the Tuckaway Country Club, passing time until their senior year of high school.

However, after the death of Johnson, Cross said she doesn’t think she can go back to work there.

"There's too many memories in there, I love working there, but I don’t think I can be there and have a positive mindset.

"Sweetest person you'll ever meet, she always made everybody smile, very contagious smile," said Cross.

The Muskego Police Department said there is no official cause of death yet.
