Lou Malnati's deep dish pizzeria to open first Wisconsin location in Fox Point this December

FOX POINT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Chicago Deep Dish favorite Lou Malnati's announced Wednesday that it will make Fox Point its first Wisconsin location. The pizzeria is expected to open at the beginning of December in the Riverpoint Village Shopping Center on Port Washington Road.

The restaurant will not have a dining room but will offer carry-out, delivery and drop off catering service. Malnati's expects to hire 45 local employees for the location.

Today the business is headed by Lou’s son, Marc Malnati. He notes that although this is the first Wisconsin location, America’s dairyland has long been a part of the company’s history, “We’ve been sourcing our cheese from the same vendors in Wisconsin for nearly 50 years. Our partners up here have been critical to our success."

Malnati said they hope to have multiple locations in the Milwaukee area soon including a restaurant with dining.
