Long Day In The Desert: Packers Pounded By Cardinals

The Packers never held a lead in 60 minutes of action in a 38-8 road loss to Arizona, a defeat that knocks out the Packers chances of having a first round bye in the playoffs.

Arizona's defense scored two touchdowns on fumble recoveries, and Carson Palmer threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter to help Arizona build up a lead they would not relinquish. Aaron Rodgers, pressured all day by Arizona's stout defense, threw for just 151 yards and a touchdown to Eddie Lacy that would prove to be Green Bay's only score of the day.

With the loss, the Packers fall to 10-5, but they'll still play for the NFC North division title next Sunday in Green Bay against the Vikings. The Packers are assured a playoff spot, but the outcome of their battle with Minnesota will determine whether the Packers start the playoffs at home or on the road.
