Local Students Hold Benefit Concert To Help Sick Teacher

HARTLAND - When a recent high school graduate heard about her teacher's illness, she knew she had to do something.

Regan Lyons put together a group of local singers for a concert to benefit Todd Fortier, a much-beloved voice coach who recently had a heart attack and underwent quadruple bi-pass surgery.

Regan says it means so much seeing former students come out and support their teacher. "Todd has changed my life so much. Not only helping me become a better singer but to become a better person and I know all of his students could say the same. He's helped us grow so much and we figured since he's touched our lives, we would want to do something to touch his."

The group hopes to raise at least $2,000 dollars to help with medical bills and other expenses.
