Racine Art Museum calls for entries to annual Peeps art exhibition
West Milwaukee (CBS 58)--A glancing blow from Mother Nature today as a wintry mix moves through at the tail end of the morning rush. All things considered this particular weather event was mainly a dud.
It was mostly wet roads rather than icy or snowy ones. We had a quick transition from the liquid to the frozen. There were a few accidents, mainly south into Racine County.
Many roads and parking lots in municipalities throughout our area had been pre-treated with a brine solution. Brad Davis with Davis Seasonal Maintenance in West Milwaukee had been out overnight tending to more than 70 commercial lots. Davis says this type of treatment, fairly new on the market, tends to be rather effective.
The brine treatment has to be tinkered a bit when the temperatures get below zero. Davis’s company also offers free snow removal for families of deployed vets. Click here if you need assistance.
Major sure you’re on top of the weather situation as we get deeper into winter by staying tuned to the CBS 58 Ready Weather team.
