Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Biship
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local organizations like Milwaukee Rep aim to offer educational programs to thousands of local students from over 250 schools. However, the Rep's current facility lacks classrooms and community spaces, often forcing teachers and students to use hallways, conference rooms or private offices for sessions.
Chad Bauman, Executive Director of Milwaukee Rep, joined us on Tuesday, April 4 to discuss the evolution of arts education in Milwaukee and the importance of dedicated educational spaces.
The Richard and Ethel Herzfeld Foundation donated $5 million to the Rep's $75-million Powering Milwaukee campaign earlier in 2023. This gift will fund the construction of the Herzfeld Foundation Education and Engagement Center, a dedicated space for education and engagement, in the new Associated Bank Theater Center.
The project aims to improve arts education opportunities and accommodate Milwaukee's youth more effectively.
